Torrance Memorial Home Health & Hospice Bereavement Services Grief is the normal response people have to the experience of loss.  It is natural and universal, but also stressful.  Torrance Memorial’s Bereavement Services are provided by professionals, as well as professionally-trained volunteers.  We assist those who are grieving the death of a loved one and help the caregivers, family members and friends of a terminally-ill person.  To help families through these difficult times, Torrance Memorial offers a variety of bereavement support groups.  Each of these groups is facilitated by our Bereavement Coordinator.  These groups are offered to hospice families as well as to the community-at-large.   Personal Consultations and Counseling    It is often helpful to sit down with someone and talk about your situation and the unique aspects of you bereavement.  Our Bereavement Coordinator is available to provide personal consultations and/or counseling or to provide referrals for any further assistance that might be appropriate to your situation.  For additional information call (310)784-3751 or (310)466-3509.   Drop-In Groups   These groups are available on Monday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and on Thursday afternoons from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. in Torrance Memorial’s Health Conference Center, 3330 Lomita Blvd., Torrance, CA.  Reservations are not necessary.  For additional information, call (310)784-3751 or (310)466-3509.   Bereavement Support Groups   Throughout the year, periodic eight-week bereavement support groups are facilitated by our Bereavement Coordinator.  Reservations are required and more information can be obtained by calling 310-784-3751.
